CROP’s Flagship Campus Hosts Capstone Presentations to Highlight Emerging Tech Superstars
At the end of January and beginning of February, CROP hosted virtual capstone presentations highlighting Oakland Fellows’ achievements in their tech sales and UX/UI training. The presentations served as a culmination of the inaugural cohort’s job training pillar of the Ready 4 Life program. We are so proud of their dedication, diligence, and growth over the year-long program!
CROP Fellows and staff were joined by a panel of professionals and hiring partners. Each Fellow presented their portfolio of work, shared stories about their experience at CROP, elaborated on their interests during a Q&A session, and participated in a mock interview. Fellows were invited to receive feedback on their presentation as well as their career journey.
Regarding the employment partner volunteers’ help with this capstone event, Founder and Director of Programs, Jason Bryant, says "Lasting social impact is found in putting people over punishment and honoring the power of community. Thank you to our dedicated partners for investing in the success of CROP Fellows by contributing to a future built on empathy, support, and fair chances."
Beyond presentations, the capstone was a dynamic hub of networking and collaboration, allowing volunteers to engage directly with Fellows and foster connections that extend beyond the event.
